I am a Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, graduated from the Clifton Practice, the UK leading provider of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy Training, established by David Newton, founder of the Solution Focused Hypnotherapy method.
I have a private practice based in Abingdon and work with clients online and face to face across the UK and internationally, using solution focused coaching and clinical hypnosis.

Having had an international career in youth work and social services for over 10 years, I have experience working with clients from all walks of life including children and adults with depression and anxiety; drug and alcohol addictions; victims of traumas and abuse; ADHD and lack of motivation.

I have always had a natural call towards helping people achieve their full potentials and unlock the natural ability of their mind and body to heal. For this reason I also trained as a Naturopathic Nutrition Advisor with the UK Natural Health Care College and took several courses in Herbal Medicine for everyday living (herbal medicine being one of my many passions since childhood).

However, it was only after reading the book by Bruce H. Lipton “Biology of Belief” that I turned towards psychology and psychotherapy. The book scientifically demonstrates how the cells of our body are affected by our thoughts and how the thoughts racing through our mind have the power to build up or tear down our physical and mental health.

After considering the implications of this idea, I was completely taken by the fact that by changing our thoughts, we can alter our physical and psychological well-being; and if we can alter our well-being, we have the power to alter our lives for the better. In a few words: we can control our destiny.

My very own personal story has a lot to contribute to my interest in psychotherapy. As a young child and in my teen years, I struggled with low self esteem, anxiety and panic attacks. Through positive visualisation and meditation, I learnt to build a more positive relationship with myself. However, after a very tragic life event, I fell ill with a severe form of depression that stopped me from functioning normally, including working, driving, feeding myself and even getting out of bed.

It was during that difficult time that I was referred to Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. What I learned and practiced was life-changing. The therapy helped me fight depression, get my confidence back and gain a sense of control over my thoughts and emotions. That’s when I decided to train as a Hypnotherapist and help others achieve their best hopes and realise their dreams.

Beyond practice hours, I enjoy reading up on the latest neuroscience research findings, and attending professional development courses to help grow my knowledge in hypnotherapy and the solution focused approach.

As l love sharing what I learn, I often consolidate my learning in my blog. You can read my latest blog by visiting the Blog page.
I am registered with the the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and the National Council for Hypnotherapy, and I adhere to their ethical guidelines and codes of conduct in my practice.
